“Austerity,” aka, “we’ve spent too much, it’s time to reign it in.” The most over-used word of 2012. If you’d like to ignore austerity on your wedding day, there’s no better place than in the decision to have a couture wedding dress.

But what does couture mean, you ask? Basically, any design that looks like it could come from a high-end fashion house.

For this search, I’ll err towards those designers who incorporate unusual, exciting, fantastical and fashion-forward elements into their dress. Always happy to help …
