HUNTED : { Wedding Miscellany – Wedding Wellies }

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

This won’t be the first post in which I’ve discussed how unpredictable the Great British Weather is.

I’ve already hunted you Wedding Umbrellas to overcome possible marital showers. What, though, about your poor tootsies?

There’s nothing more miserable than the prospect of dragging a new satin Choo through the mud (a little melodramatic but ladies will be with me on this one). Why not make like a celebrity, then, and have multiple shoe options up your sleeves. Have your heels for the ceremony, your flats for when the dancing gets too wild, and your wedding wellies in case of a romantic jaunt outside. Or go for a festival themed wedding and rock the wellies from start to finish.

Bridal Wellies Tractor

Everyone knows the classic green barbour welly. It’s what all good country folk have stashed in their sheds, simply ready for a good shoot. The good news is, with a clean, these are perfectly acceptable to have in your back pocket (or the back of your pick-up) for your wedding [ image : here ]

If that’s not your cup of tea you’ll be pleased to know the world is awash with welly variants. You can even  get yours in bridal cream, with a small heel and silk bows as per above if you want. Perfect for rolling in the hay [ via Cheap Wellies & Raincoats ].

Wet Wedding Attire Bride Welly

The modern welly comes in every shade and design. If you’re an experimental bride, then, you can have whatever type you like on hand. Like these beautiful dark polka dot versions, with flashes of red. [image : here].

If you’re thinking about wellies for the Bride and Groom, you might want to also consider the toes of your wedding party. If you are in the great outdoors ; Winter or wetness, you can make wellies part of bridesmaid attire. If you’re a fan of the mismatched bridesmaid trend, this image above is absolutely brilliant [ via Truly Engaging ]

And finally, in case you were still thinking that wellies only make sense for wet countryside weddings, take a look at the image above. Via the captivatingly joy-making site Julie Wears Wellingtons, I defy you not the feel the happiness of this beach-wedding-wellies scene in your soul.

Wedding Wellies : you have been hunted

Would you consider planning wellies into your day?

Or would you rather cross your fingers and hope for sun?
