HUNTED: { Wedding Stationery – Vibrant Patterns }

The Kate Middleton wedding effect of 2011 will undoubtedly spawn reams of subtle, princess-like weddings in its wake. I’m not going to cast negatives on the royal wedding – it was elegant, sincere and did marvels for the global love of our monarchy. But, for some couples, all that delicate white and pastel could be, dare I say it, boring.

If you fall into the bright and colourful camp when it comes to wedding planning then cast around for touches that can splash brightness and joy over the day.

One simple method of getting some glorious technicolour into the day is via your stationery. A few cheering examples are hunted below.

Wedding Invites Bright Colours Patterns 2012

For stationery with a touch of the fairground, look for beautiful bright stripes like this design via  Bonnie Blackbird. If the designers name makes you smile, you know you’re onto a good thing.

Wedding stationery ideas yellow patterned

I’m a sceptic when it comes to the use of the word “trends.” Most of the time it doesn’t seem to be associated with zeitgeist, and more just thrown around to allow an article to be invented. Chevrons are apparently trendy for 2012. Whilst I’m not sure I believe this, what I do agree with is that this bright yellow chevron design via DoodleLove is beautiful, cheerful, and ideal for a couple with a sunny disposition.

Glorious patterned wedding stationery, that’s the hit list for now. If any more examples come to my attention I’ll return.

Do you like the bright look for a wedding? Or do you think the Royal Wedding was the epitomy of how the day should look?
