HUNTED : { Wedding Miscellany – Wedding Planners / Files }

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

So you’re planning your wedding. Number 1 question : Where on earth do you begin?!

No doubt, planning a wedding can seem like a daunting task. Even more so if your natural state is that of disorganisation or chaos.

Thankfully there are simple solutions and tools available that can you take you through every step of the process in a timely manner. Personally I couldn’t have lived without my wedding planning file. It was my saviour.

If you feel hopelessly ill-equipped or short of time and have room in the budget you can of course hire a living, breathing wedding planner to assist. Even so, I would still urge you, nay, beg you, to consider one of the organisers below. Other wedding planning paraphernalia shown here just for fun.

Confetti Wedding Planner Large Blue

My planner came from the wedding behemoth that is Confetti and was near identical to the one above. Just in case I haven’t impressed on you how fantastic it was, during the entire planning process I was never stressed by missed deadlines due to sticking to their checklists like a limpet. Other unknowns certainly caused stress but there’s some things a file just can’t fix.

Confetti Small Wedding Planner

If you want to really overload on guidance they also have a handy book. Slight overkill perhaps, but as they* say, preparation is the key to success.

(*They = Alexander Graham Bell, a man who enjoyed some considerable successes)

Wedding Leather Organiser Planner

In the interests of fair representation I should point out other organisers are available, and if you’d prefer yours leather-bound and filofax-like Oh So Cherished have a very attractive version. They have a multitude of other designs via their site too so do go browse.

Wedding Sticky Notes Planning

They also have extremely useful stickers in event of you being the sort of couple who could build a replica Eiffel tower with the number of bridal magazines you’re hoarding. Once you discover you “want” 1,000 items it’s certainly time to revert back to your organiser, your set budget, and reprimand yourself for getting out of control.

Leather Notebook Wedding

Finally, if you are the sort of individual who has flashes of inspiration in obscure places – on the train, in a bar, on the toilet etc – tote around a little notebook so these ideas aren’t lost in the nether regions of your brain. I particularly like this version for grooms – yes grooms, you too are allowed to input into the day. Just don’t expect all your ideas to be used.

Wedding planners, organisers and extras : you have been hunted.

Has anyone used any other planning tools not listed here?
